BBC Earth, British Fashion Council and Mother of Pearl celebrate Positive Fashion at London Fashion Week

This evening the British Fashion Council celebrated their Positive Fashion collaboration with BBC Earth and Mother of Pearl with a cocktail reception and film preview at Spencer House.
Many of the initiatives that are run by the BFC are made possible through public funding. The BFC aims to ensure that the suppliers we work with are selected in a fair and transparent manner. In addition, the BFC is keen to encourage SMEs to bid for contract opportunities.

This February, London Fashion Week returns to showcase some of the most creative and innovative fashion designers in the world and ignites a city-wide celebration of the creative industries. London Fashion Week celebrates the intersection of fashion, music, art, design and tech with London, one of the most multicultural, vibrant and diverse cities, as a backdrop. London Fashion Week encourages designer businesses, global brands and creative institutions to celebrate and encourage the public to get involved and celebrate the creative industries. The 68th edition of London Fashion Week welcomes a packed schedule of the world’s most creative and innovative names in the fashion industry. The London Fashion Week platform continues to evolve, expanding the breadth of its international reach and welcoming some of the most exciting brands; with a packed schedule featuring over 80 designer names on the official catwalk and presentation schedule and over 100 brands showcasing in the Designer Showrooms, the event will welcome guests from over 50 countries from all five continents. The British Fashion Council (BFC) announces new industry statistics post commissioning a new Value of Fashion report, which includes new data on the British fashion industry.

Today, the British Fashion Council (BFC) announces that following a survey conducted with all London Fashion Week designers on the official catwalk and presentation schedule, no animal fur will be used at London Fashion Week September 2018.
